- Derrick Thomas

Derrick Thomas is a Legislative Advocate who brings a wide breadth of political and legal experience to the firm and is licensed to practice law in California and the District of Columbia.

Prior to joining Sloat Higgins Jensen, Mr. Thomas coordinated the legislative package for a state Senator, advocated for tort reform at a governmental relations firm, and practiced civil litigation in the areas of employment law and public entity defense. Currently, Mr. Thomas represents clients in the areas of employment, information technology, energy, and environmental regulation.

Mr. Thomas is a graduate of Jesuit High School in Sacramento, UC Davis, and McGeorge School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review section focusing on state legislation.
